Best LLC services in New Mexico (2026)

Facts checked October 13 to 15, 2026.

For a New Mexico LLC, Tailor Brands holds the highest score in our rating, 8.7. Its Elite plan costs $498 across the first and second year before state fees. We can't add the New Mexico filing fee to any plan, because New Mexico's fee isn't in our verified record. Every New Mexico filing goes online through the SOS Business Portal (enterprise.sos.nm.gov), whichever service you pick.1

How are LLC services for New Mexico ordered?

Our rating sets the order, highest first, with ties kept in editorial order. Plan price, stated speed and registered agent terms sit beside each name.

Second year: the recurring New Mexico report fee as the state lists it (some states charge it every two years) plus the plan's renewal, if it renews. Registered agent renewals are extra unless the plan includes the agent for good.

The first-year and second-year columns read "Can't total" on every row, including the row for filing yourself. The gap is on the state side. A total needs the state filing fee, and New Mexico's isn't in our verified record. So for this state, compare plans on their own prices and add the fee you see on the portal.

Bizee (formerly Incfile) and ZenBusiness tie at 8.0, as do BizFilings and Rocket Lawyer at 6.8. The score blends customer satisfaction, services with the dashboard, and plan value, and none of those parts changes from state to state. How we rate shows the weights.

Which New Mexico LLC service fits which need?

With no state fee to total, the picks below rest on plan contents, stated speed and agent terms. Each pick below names the fact that decides it.

Each line is decided by the published fact it names. First-time founder support counts an annual report filed for you, business coaching and AI guidance; the all-in-one count is the business service types a provider sells nationally.

Lowest compared plan before the state fee

Among the plans in our rating, Inc Authority lists its Free LLC plan at $0, and Northwest Registered Agent lists $39 + state fees. Both include a registered agent for the first year, and both then bill for it: Inc Authority's agent renews at $249/year, and Northwest Registered Agent's included agent renews at $125/yr after year 1. Inc Authority adds a 60-day money-back guarantee on initial online purchase, less state/third-party filing fees. The cheapest services list and the list ranked by cost over both years order every provider on plan price and on cost over both years.2, 3, 4, 5

First-time founders

We count three supports for a first-time owner: an annual report filed for you, coaching from a person, and AI guidance. Tailor Brands includes all three supports, with its Business Coaching Program, Navi (every plan comes with Navi built in) and mandatory report filing on its higher plans. ZenBusiness includes all three supports: Personal Velo AI guidance on every plan, filing of state-required annual reports on Pro and Premium, and a one-on-one consultation on Premium. doola includes two of the three supports, its AI Co-Founder plus Annual State Report Filing on higher plans. In New Mexico the report-filing support carries a question mark, since our record can't confirm a recurring report exists (see the notes below). The first-time founders list has the full order.6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12

Fastest stated filing

Tailor Brands and ZenBusiness both state 1 business day on their compared plans; doola states 1 to 2 business days. Those are the providers' own stated processing times. Our record has no verified New Mexico review time or state rush option, and the state's review is the part no service controls. See the fastest services list.

Registered agent included, and for how long

New Mexico can revoke an LLC that fails for 30 days to appoint and maintain a registered agent, so the agent's term is worth reading before you buy.13

Tailor Brands sells its agent separately at $199/year. The registered agent included list compares every plan that bundles one.19

One company for the services after formation

Of the 10 business service types we track, Tailor Brands and LegalZoom each sell 9, while Bizee (formerly Incfile) and ZenBusiness each sell 7. A type counts when the provider sells it in any plan or as an add-on, so the count isn't a list of plan contents. The all-in-one list ranks providers by this count.

EIN in the plan

LegalZoom lists EIN (federal tax ID) in Managed Service, ZenBusiness lists EIN in Premium, and doola lists Employer Identification Number (EIN) in Starter. The EIN included list has the rest.9, 18, 20

Owners outside the U.S.

doola says it accepts non-U.S. founders, and Starter includes a Virtual Mailing/Business Address. LegalZoom also says it accepts them. Tailor Brands links a separate sign-up flow for non-US citizens, and that page states no eligibility details. The non-U.S. founders list compares the rest.18, 21

What does New Mexico charge whoever files?

Our record has no verified New Mexico filing fee, name reservation fee or expedite fee, so the table below stays short. The one state charge we can confirm is the $50 annual franchise tax, which applies only if the LLC is taxed as a corporation for federal purposes.22

That franchise tax isn't something a formation plan removes or includes. It follows the LLC's federal tax choice, not the service you hire. A default LLC isn't covered by the Taxation and Revenue Department's statement, so ask the department or an accountant what yours files.

Will a service file New Mexico's yearly paperwork?

We couldn't confirm from an official page whether New Mexico LLCs file a recurring report with the Secretary of State.

So when a plan lists report filing, it isn't clear that there is a New Mexico report for it to file.

Tailor Brands Elite lists mandatory report filing, and ZenBusiness Premium lists filing of state-required annual reports. Ask either one what it files for a New Mexico LLC before you count that item as value.8, 10

Trial items add cost later wherever you form. Tailor Brands Elite includes bookkeeping on a free 30-day trial that then bills $39/month, and LegalZoom lists for Managed Service that the Business Advisor Plan auto-renews at $49/mo after 30 days. The LegalZoom pricing page and the Tailor Brands profile list what bills after each trial.20, 23

Can you form a New Mexico LLC without a service?

Yes. The state takes filings directly from owners through the SOS Business Portal (enterprise.sos.nm.gov), and you pay only the state's fee. The trade-off is that you name the agent and track any later filings yourself.1

For the agent, NMSA 1978 § 53-19-5 allows an individual resident of New Mexico among others, and the registered office may be the same as the limited liability company's principal place of business. An owner living in the state can serve from the business address. The New Mexico formation guide covers each filing and the agent rules, and the cost calculator shows what a plan adds.24

New Mexico LLC service questions

Does any service include the New Mexico state fee?

Our totals treat the state filing fee as a cost on top of each plan's price. Because New Mexico's fee isn't in our verified record, this page shows plan prices without it. Add the fee shown on the SOS Business Portal (enterprise.sos.nm.gov).1

Which service costs least for a New Mexico LLC?

Among the plans in our rating, Inc Authority lists $0 and Northwest Registered Agent lists $39 + state fees. Both then charge for the registered agent they include: Inc Authority's renews at $249/year, and Northwest Registered Agent's renews at $125/yr after year 1.2, 3, 4

Can a service get my New Mexico LLC approved faster?

A service can prepare and submit quickly; Tailor Brands and ZenBusiness each state 1 business day. The state's own review is a separate step, and our record has no verified New Mexico rush option or review time.

Do I need a registered agent service in New Mexico?

No. NMSA 1978 § 53-19-5 lets an individual resident of New Mexico serve, so an owner who lives in the state can name themself. A service helps if you'd rather not receive legal papers at your own address or live elsewhere.24

What does a New Mexico LLC cost in year two with a service?

It's the plan renewal, any agent renewal after a free period, and the franchise tax only if the LLC is taxed as a corporation. Our record can't confirm a recurring New Mexico report or its fee, so none is added. Across both years, before state costs, Tailor Brands Elite comes to $498 and ZenBusiness Premium to $598.
