ZenBusiness charges $0 for Starter, $199 for Pro and $299 for Premium, and the state filing fee is added to each. Starter is a single charge. Pro renews at $199/yr and Premium at $299/yr, so on those two the second year costs as much as the first. A registered agent is extra on every plan: $99 for the first year when you form with ZenBusiness, then $199/yr.1, 2
What does each ZenBusiness plan cost?
Starter has no plan fee, Pro costs $199 a year and Premium costs $299 a year, with the state's filing fee added at checkout on all three.1
The cards show every item ZenBusiness names for each plan. A clock marks the items that are free for a set period and then bill.

Starter
The $0 order covers the name search, the state filing, Velo AI guidance and compliance alerts. Standard handling is 7-10 business days. Two items arrive free for a limited time, and leaving them running is how a Starter order picks up a charge later (see the second-year section below).1
Starter leaves out the federal tax ID (EIN) and the operating agreement. ZenBusiness sells each as a one-time add-on, the EIN at $99 and the template at $99.3
Pro
Pro's $199 adds the EIN, the operating agreement template and the logo builder. It also adds annual report filing with up to 2 amendments per year. Filing speed moves up to 1 business day with no rush charge.1, 4
Premium
Premium's $299 keeps all of Pro. On top come a domain with privacy, a business email address, Advanced Compliance Protection, a library of document templates and a one-on-one advisor consultation. Bought on their own, ZenBusiness lists domain registration at $25/year, a business email address at $25/year and the template library at $99 one-time. Our record holds no standalone price for Advanced Compliance Protection or the consultation.1, 5
Our rating compares Premium, which includes 6 of the services we count for good and rates 8.0 out of ten. The rating method explains why a plan that bills every year scores lower on value.
What does ZenBusiness cost in the second year?
In year two, Starter costs nothing from ZenBusiness unless a trial item or add-on is still active, while Pro bills $199/yr again and Premium $299/yr.1
Starter: None (one-time)
Pro: $199/yr
Premium: $299/yr
Over the first and second year together, Premium comes to $598 before state fees. That figure counts plan fees only. It adds no registered agent and no trial item kept past its free period.
Trial items and their later price
Two items are free for a while and then bill unless cancelled.
The website builder comes with every plan and is "Included FREE for 30 days". After that the plan listing says "Renews at $15/mo". ZenBusiness's add-on list also shows the builder bought alone at $129/year.1, 5
Starter includes Worry-Free Compliance for one optional free year, and after that it renews at $199/yr.4
That second figure lines up with Pro. A Starter owner who keeps Worry-Free Compliance pays ZenBusiness $199/year in year two, the same as a Pro renewal at $199/yr, and both get annual reports and amendments filed. The difference is that Pro also delivered the EIN and the operating agreement template in year one.1, 3
Owners who want reports filed only now and then can buy Annual Report Filing at $100 per report instead. Money Pro Bookkeeping, sold apart from every plan, is $30/month.3, 5
How cancellation works on a yearly plan
Pro and Premium renew on their own. After 30 days, ZenBusiness's general terms say it can cancel a yearly subscription but "no prorated refunds will be issued." The terms don't say how that window applies to a renewal, so the renewal date is worth noting at purchase.6
How much is ZenBusiness rush filing?
Rush filing is a $79 add-on for Starter. Pro and Premium already state 1 business day of processing, so the add-on buys nothing extra on those plans.1, 4
With rush, Starter drops from 7-10 business days to the same stated time as the paid plans, at a total still below Pro's $199, though without the EIN or the operating agreement template.1
Every one of these times is ZenBusiness's own handling. The state's review starts once the filing reaches it, and some states sell a separate expedite with its own fee. The LLC timeline guide covers the state side, and the fastest filing list ranks providers by stated speed.
What does a ZenBusiness registered agent cost?
The registered agent is $199/year when bought alone, and an LLC formed through ZenBusiness gets 50% off the first year, which brings it to $99. From the second year it renews at $199/yr.2, 3
None of the three plans includes it, so the agent is always a separate line. A Premium owner who kept it pays $299/yr for the plan and $199/yr for the agent in year two. The agent terms let the fee rise when a new term starts. On billing notices, the wording is only that "We may send a reminder email to your email address of record before your Billing Date", so a reminder isn't promised.1, 2, 6
No. ZenBusiness lists each of Starter, Pro and Premium with state fees on top of the price, so the state's charge for filing the formation document is added to any of them.
The median state LLC filing fee across the states we track is $100, and the state fee table lists each state. The LLC cost calculator adds a ZenBusiness plan to your state's fee.
Recurring state charges, such as an annual report fee or a franchise tax, sit outside the plan prices too. Pro and Premium handle the report filing, and every price is still quoted before state fees. Our guide to what an LLC costs shows how these yearly charges add up.
Does ZenBusiness Starter cost anything after the first year?
Only if something is left running. Worry-Free Compliance renews at $199/yr once its free year ends, and the website builder's listing reads "Renews at $15/mo" for after its trial. A registered agent, if bought, renews at $199/yr.1, 2, 4
How does Pro compare with Starter plus Worry-Free Compliance?
In year two they cost ZenBusiness the same, $199/yr against $199/year, and both cover annual report and amendment filing. Pro also included the EIN, the operating agreement template and 1 business day processing in year one, items a Starter buyer would pay $99, $99 and $79 to add.1, 3, 4
How much does ZenBusiness Premium cost for the first and second year?
Its plan fees come to $598, because it bills $299/yr each year. State fees, a registered agent and any trial item kept past its free period are on top.1
How much is rush filing with ZenBusiness?
Rush costs $79 and is sold as a Starter add-on. Pro and Premium already state 1 business day, the same speed rush buys.1, 4
Does any ZenBusiness plan include a registered agent?
No. The agent is sold separately at $199/year, discounted to $99 for the first year when you form with ZenBusiness, then renewing at $199/yr.2, 3
