doola LLC pricing (2026)

Facts checked October 13 to 15, 2026.

doola charges $297/yr for Starter, $1,999/yr for Tax and Compliance and $2,999/yr for Business-in-a-Box; our totals add the state's filing fee separately. All three are yearly subscriptions that automatically renew at the rates then in effect, so the second year has no published price. doola doesn't publish a trial period for any plan item.1, 2

Starter, at $297/yr, covers doola's filing of the LLC and lists the Employer Identification Number (EIN), the Operating Agreement, Registered Agent Service and a Virtual Mailing/Business Address.1

Tax and Compliance costs $1,999/yr. For the extra money it adds Annual State Report Filing, Business IRS Tax Filings, transaction tracking, Expedited EIN Processing (Only with Annual Billing) and Free Dissolution (Only with Annual Billing).1

Business-in-a-Box costs $2,999/yr and adds Monthly/Quarterly Closings and estimated quarterly taxes. The pricing page also shows a monthly figure of $329/mo, struck through to $263/mo, while the pricing FAQ says, "All plans are billed annually." Our record treats the yearly price as the plan price.1, 2

Our rating compares Starter, which includes 4 of the services we count, and rates doola 7.2 out of ten. The parts are explained under how we rate.

What does doola cost in the second year?

doola publishes no second-year price. Its terms say recurring fees automatically renew at the rates then in effect, which means the renewal bill is whatever each plan costs at that point.2

If prices hold, the second year repeats the first: $297/yr for Starter, $1,999/yr for Tax and Compliance or $2,999/yr for Business-in-a-Box. On that assumption our figure for Starter across the first and second year is $594, before state fees. A rise at renewal would push it higher.1

The renewal covers the whole plan, including the agent and address. doola doesn't publish a trial on any item that later becomes a separate charge. The AI assistant's credits follow the plan and renew each billing cycle.3

State charges in year two are separate. On Tax and Compliance and Business-in-a-Box doola files the annual report, but the state's fee stays with the owner (state fees paid by customer). Starter does not include ongoing compliance filings, so a Starter owner files the report or gets help elsewhere.4

Does doola charge for faster filing?

doola publishes no rush fee for the state filing. It states 1 to 2 business days on every plan, and the one paid speed-up it lists is an expedited EIN at +$300, which applies to the IRS application and not to the state formation.1, 5

Tax and Compliance and Business-in-a-Box already list Expedited EIN Processing (Only with Annual Billing). Our record doesn't show whether a Starter customer can buy the add-on on its own. The state's own review time, and any state expedite fee, are separate; the LLC timeline guide covers them.1

Is the registered agent extra with doola?

doola lists the agent in all three plans and shows no separate agent charge on them. Its agent page says, "Registered Agent is free with doola’s Formation Service".6

The same page quotes $297 per year for signing up, matching Starter's price, and the page doesn't say whether that figure is a separate agent price or the Starter plan itself. doola doesn't say how long the free agent lasts. Mail forwarding is outside the base agent service unless the plan says otherwise, and doola's terms offer it for an additional fee.2, 6

Are state fees included in doola's prices?

doola's plan prices in our record are quoted without a state fee, so this site adds the state filing fee separately. That fee depends on the state where you form.

The median state LLC filing fee across the states we track is $100. The state fee table lists every state, and the cost calculator adds a doola plan and a state together. The LLC cost guide explains recurring state charges such as report fees and franchise tax.

doola pricing questions

Is doola a one-time payment?

No. All three plans are billed yearly and automatically renew at the rates then in effect. doola publishes no one-time option; the ZenBusiness and doola comparison sets doola beside a provider whose entry plan does not renew.2

What is the cheapest doola plan?

Starter at $297/yr, with the state filing fee added separately in our totals. It lists the EIN, an operating agreement, the registered agent and a business address. Annual report filing isn't part of it: Starter does not include ongoing compliance filings.1, 4

Does doola raise prices at renewal?

doola doesn't publish renewal prices. Its terms say recurring fees automatically renew at the rates then in effect, so the second-year charge can differ from the first.2

Can I get my money back from doola?

The terms allow a possible refund if you cancel "before we send your application to a state or government agency". Beyond that window they state "All payments are nonrefundable", and no separate rule for renewals is published.2

How much is doola's expedited EIN?

It is +$300 as an add-on, and it speeds up the IRS application only, not the state filing. Tax and Compliance and Business-in-a-Box list Expedited EIN Processing (Only with Annual Billing) as part of the plan.1, 5
