Swyft Filings LLC formation review (2026)

Facts checked October 13 to 14, 2026.

Swyft Filings has three LLC plans, each paid once and each before the state filing fee: Basic at $0, Standard at $199 and Premium at $299. Every plan starts a ComplianceGuard trial that bills $199/year once it ends, and no plan lists a registered agent, which Swyft sells at $149 per quarter ($596/year). Our rating gives Swyft Filings 7.7 out of ten, judged on its Standard plan.1, 2, 3

Plan value pulls the total down. We compare Standard because Premium keeps the same counted items for good and costs more, so the cheaper plan wins the tie. Standard holds 2 of the services our method counts (the EIN and the operating agreement), which is few next to plans that also keep an agent, annual report filing or a website. Its price is paid once, so its cost across the first and second year stays at $199 before state fees, and it states 3 business days of processing.

On services and dashboard, Swyft sells 6 of the 10 business service types we track and offers an online dashboard. Among the 12 providers we compare, Swyft places below Tailor Brands, LegalZoom, Bizee and ZenBusiness and above the rest. Each weight and the tie rule are set out on how we rate providers.

Who are Swyft Filings plans a good match for?

Swyft fits a founder who wants a one-time price with no yearly plan fee and will decide on purpose whether to keep each trial. It fits less well when you want an agent or report filing bundled in.

Each tier lines up with a different buyer, judged only by what it contains.

Readers with other priorities may look elsewhere. Swyft's agent is priced by the quarter, so a year of it ($596/year) costs more than ZenBusiness's agent at $199/year or Northwest's at $125 per year. For a first-time founder, Swyft includes none of the three supports we look at for good (an annual report filed for you, business coaching from a person and AI guidance); report filing appears only as the ComplianceGuard trial. Our record lists phone as its only support channel. Founders abroad will find a general statement in its FAQ, "A non-US citizen can legally form an LLC in the United States.", without detail on how the order works from outside the U.S.; the list for non-U.S. founders covers this.3, 5, 6, 7

What changes from Basic to Standard to Premium?

Standard adds the EIN, an operating agreement, organizational minutes, a banking resolution and a free period of the business address. Premium adds compliance monitoring, a digital kit, unlimited attorney consultations for a period and same-day processing.

Every tier includes a free business tax consultation and Swyft's name availability check. The digital LLC kit inside Premium is listed at $99 on the lower tiers. Swyft was showing a promotional Standard price of $169 when our data was gathered; our rating uses the regular price.1

Trials that bill later

Three kinds of trial ride along with the plans. Plan value in our rating counts none of them, though they do add to the service types Swyft sells.

  1. ComplianceGuard, on every tier, gives, in Swyft's words, access to "one free annual report, one business amendment, and our corporate minutes manager tool". It runs as a 14-day free trial, then bills $199/year and renews each year until cancelled.1, 2
  2. The Swyft Legal Suite gives access to 250+ customizable legal & business documents and attorney guidance. Its free period depends on the tier (Basic and Standard 1 month, Premium 2 months), and Swyft doesn't publish what it costs after that.8
  3. The business address and virtual mailbox comes free for a time on the upper tiers (Standard 1 month free; Premium 3 months free), then costs $29/mo. Basic buyers pay that price from the start.8

Each tier's cost in year two, item by item, is set out on the Swyft Filings pricing page.

What does Swyft Filings charge after the first year?

None of the three plans renews. Swyft's FAQ says, "You will not be charged additional fees by us beyond what was shown." What can continue billing are the trials, if kept, and the registered agent, if bought.7

So year two depends on the add-ons. A Standard buyer who cancelled every trial before it billed and skipped the agent owes Swyft nothing more. Keeping ComplianceGuard adds $199/year, and the report it files still carries the state fee ("state fee applies"). Keeping the agent adds $596/year. The state's own yearly report or tax is separate either way, and the LLC cost guide shows how big that can be.2, 3

Refunds have no published window. Swyft says, "Billing questions should be evaluated by charge type and order status." and its FAQ adds, "If processing has not started, you may be eligible for a refund based on the refund policy." Government fees may be handled apart from Swyft's own service fees.9

Support runs by phone at (877) 777-0450, Monday - Friday, 8AM - 8PM CT. Our record lists no chat. On the Better Business Bureau, Swyft's listing is Not Rated and not accredited.3, 7, 10

How long does Swyft Filings take to file?

Swyft states 7-10 business days for Basic, 3 business days for Standard and 1 business day for Premium. Two paid speed-ups exist for the slower tiers.1

Express processing is an add-on at $50 for Basic, and Swyft doesn't state how fast it is. Same-day processing costs $100 on Basic or Standard and comes inside Premium. A Standard buyer adding same-day pays the same sum as Premium's list price, which also brings the kit and the longer trials.1

Swyft doesn't say whether these times include the state's own review, and some states sell a separate expedite; how long LLC approval takes covers that, and the fastest filing list ranks stated times across providers.

What is Swyft's registered agent price?

Swyft's registered agent costs $149 per quarter, which comes to $596/year, and no plan lists it. Its checkout says, "You will be charged for Registered Agent ($149/quarter) in 90 days."3

Swyft Filings lists its registered agent service at $149 per quarter ($596/year), renewing at $149 per quarter, auto-renews until cancelled. Every LLC needs a registered agent in its state; plans that include one say so above.

A registered agent receives lawsuits and state notices for the LLC at an address in the state. Swyft's agent works in all 50 states, says legal papers served on the LLC are typically uploaded to your account within 2-3 hours, and its dashboard lets you "view, store, and download every document we receive on your behalf". Its FAQ also says that it will renew annually, which doesn't match the quarterly charge stated at checkout.3, 7

Swyft's page says its service keeps your home address off public records. Any agent's address replaces yours in the agent field, so that holds for every provider; the state may still publish an organizer, member or principal office address. Cancelling takes a step first: "the registered agent must be changed, or the business must be voluntarily dissolved before the service can be cancelled." Providers whose plans include an agent are on the registered agent included list.3, 11

How does Swyft Filings stack up against other services?

Our head-to-heads put Swyft beside one rival each: LegalZoom vs Swyft Filings, Bizee vs Swyft Filings, ZenBusiness vs Swyft Filings, Northwest vs Swyft Filings and Inc Authority vs Swyft Filings.

All 12 providers' tiers sit together in the plan table, and the cost calculator adds your state's fee to any of them.

Swyft Filings questions

Is Swyft Filings Basic really free?

Basic is $0 for Swyft's work, but the state filing fee is still due. It also opens a ComplianceGuard trial that bills $199/year unless cancelled, and the EIN and operating agreement aren't included. The cheapest LLC services list sets Basic beside other no-cost plans.1, 2

Does Swyft Filings include a registered agent?

No tier lists one. The agent is sold apart at $149 per quarter, or $596/year, and Swyft's checkout tells you when the first quarterly charge falls. That is more per year than ZenBusiness's agent at $199/year.3, 5

Does Swyft Filings file my annual report?

Only through ComplianceGuard, which every plan includes as a 14-day free trial. After that it costs $199/year and renews yearly, and the state's own report fee is added.2

Do Swyft Filings plans renew every year?

The plan fees don't. Swyft charges each plan once; ComplianceGuard, the mailbox and the registered agent can bill again, and Swyft doesn't publish what the Legal Suite costs after its free period.

How fast is Swyft Filings Premium?

Swyft states 1 business day for Premium and lists same-day processing as included. Standard buyers can add same-day for $100. Swyft doesn't say whether that time includes the state's review.1

Can I get a refund from Swyft Filings?

Swyft publishes no fixed refund window. It reviews requests by charge type and order status, and says a refund may be possible if processing hasn't started. State fees may be treated differently from its own fees.
