Best LLC services in Indiana (2026)
Facts checked October 13 to 16, 2026.
Tailor Brands ranks first on our rating for an Indiana LLC, at 8.7 out of ten, and its Elite plan totals $324 in year one with the $75 online state fee. Inc Authority has the lowest first-year total, $75, which is the filing fee by itself. Indiana's recurring state cost is a Business Entity Report every other year for $20 online, so after year one the gap between services comes mostly from plan renewals.1, 2
How are LLC services for Indiana ranked?
Our rating sets the order, highest first. Where two providers share a rating, they keep our editorial order.
Every total on this list is built for Indiana. The first-year figure is the plan we compare plus the $75 fee for filing the Articles of Organization online, the cheaper of the two state prices. The second-year figure is the $20 online report fee plus the plan's renewal, for plans that renew. Trial items that start billing later are not counted, and neither are agent renewals after a free period.1, 2
The list has ties at 8.0 (Bizee (formerly Incfile) ahead of ZenBusiness) and at 6.8 (BizFilings ahead of Rocket Lawyer). Our rating is built from three parts, which are how satisfied customers say they are, the services and dashboard on offer, and what the plan gives for its price; an Indiana filing changes none of them. The weights are in how we rate.

Second year: the recurring Indiana report fee as the state lists it (some states charge it every two years) plus the plan's renewal, if it renews. Registered agent renewals are extra unless the plan includes the agent for good.
One Indiana detail shapes the second-year column: the report is biennial, so the $20 online fee lands in alternate years and the table puts it in year two as a stand-in. Your first report falls in the anniversary month of formation, in whichever year the state's schedule sets.2
The rest of year two depends on billing. Plans with a one-time formation fee, such as those from Bizee (formerly Incfile), Swyft Filings and Inc Authority, show $20, the report fee by itself. LegalZoom also shows $20, though it lists that its Business Advisor Plan auto-renews at $49/mo after 30 days. Yearly plans carry their price forward and lift Tailor Brands Elite to $269, ZenBusiness Premium to $319 and doola Starter to $317. Before any state fee, those plans come to $498, $598 and $594 across the first and second year. doola doesn't publish its renewal price, so its second year repeats its current price. The ranking by cost across both years puts every provider on that footing.3
Which Indiana LLC service fits which need?
The picks below each rest on the fact that decides the category, and a different need can point to a different provider. Read the heading that matches what you care about most.
- Lowest first-year total in Indiana: Inc Authority, Free LLC, $75 with the state fee.
- Lowest two-year total in Indiana: Inc Authority, Free LLC, $95 over two years with state fees. Full list
- Fastest filing: Tailor Brands, 1 business day stated on Elite. Full list
- Best for first-time founders: Tailor Brands, all three supports included in a plan (annual report filing, coaching, AI guidance). Full list
- Best all-in-one platform: Tailor Brands, sells 9 of the 10 business service types we track, with an online dashboard. Full list
- Best for non-U.S. founders: Tailor Brands, highest-rated provider whose own pages say it serves founders outside the U.S. Full list
Each line is decided by the published fact it names. First-time founder support counts an annual report filed for you, business coaching and AI guidance; the all-in-one count is the business service types a provider sells nationally.
Who files the Indiana biennial report
Indiana can start administrative dissolution when an LLC still hasn't delivered its report sixty (60) days after it is due, so it helps to know who is filing it. The compared providers handle it in different ways.1
- Built into a yearly plan: Tailor Brands Elite (mandatory report filing) and ZenBusiness Premium (filing of state-required annual reports). Both describe report filing in general terms without naming Indiana, and both bill every year, while Indiana wants a report every other year.4, 5
- Bought as a separate service: Northwest Registered Agent at $100 + state fees, charged at filing, and InCorp Services at $89 + state fees. Because the Northwest fee is charged at filing, a biennial report means it falls only in the years a report is due.6, 7
- A short free start, at Swyft Filings. Every LLC plan includes a 14-day trial of ComplianceGuard, then $199/year auto-charged unless cancelled.8
- Indiana left out: LegalZoom lists an automatic filing subscription that starts at $199/year, yet its own footnote limits it to required states, excluding Indiana, Maryland, and Wyoming.9
doola lists report filing only in plans above its entry tier: Starter does not include ongoing compliance filings. The annual report guide explains what a filing service does that a reminder doesn't.10
Lowest cost through the second year
Inc Authority Free LLC comes to $75 and then $20 in Indiana, the state fees and nothing else. Its included agent is the catch: free for the first year, then $249/year, renewing automatically. Its terms list a 60-day money-back guarantee on initial online purchase, less state/third-party filing fees.11, 12
Northwest Registered Agent totals $114 and then $20, and its included agent renews at $125/yr. Compare the two in the Inc Authority profile and the Northwest profile, or see national plan prices in the cheapest services list.13
First-time founders
For first-time founders we count three supports a plan includes for good: report filing done for you, a human coach and an AI helper. Tailor Brands includes all three supports, with report filing in Elite, its Business Coaching Program and Navi, an AI assistant built into every plan. ZenBusiness includes all three supports, pairing Personal Velo AI guidance with a one-on-one consultation on Premium. doola includes two of the three supports, with its AI Co-Founder on every tier. In Indiana the report support covers a filing that comes up only every other year. The first-time founders list has the full order.14, 15, 16, 17
One provider for what comes after formation
Of the 10 business service types we track, Tailor Brands and LegalZoom sell 9 each, and Bizee (formerly Incfile) and ZenBusiness sell 7 each. The count covers services sold at any price, so a high count doesn't mean the plan includes them. See the all-in-one platforms list.
Fastest stated filing
Tailor Brands and ZenBusiness state 1 business day on their compared plans, and Inc Authority states 24 hours. Bizee (formerly Incfile) lists Expedited Filing in Premium. These are the providers' stated processing times. Our Indiana record has no state review time and no paid state rush option, so the state's part of the wait isn't shown here. The fastest filing list and the LLC timeline guide separate the two.18
Registered agent in the plan
An Indiana agent can be an individual, a general partnership, a domestic filing entity, or a registered foreign entity (Ind. Code § 23-0.5-4-3), and the record must state a street address in this state. A free agent period differs a lot in length from one plan to the next.1
- Bizee (formerly Incfile) includes the agent free for the first year with any Bizee formation package and charges $149/year afterwards.19, 20
- Northwest Registered Agent covers year one and charges $125/yr from year two.13
- BizFilings gives 3 months free, after which the agent costs $220/yr.21, 22
- doola lists Registered Agent Service in Starter, a plan billed yearly.23
For an agent from Tailor Brands you pay $199/year as a separate purchase, and ZenBusiness gives 50% off the first year ($99) to customers who form with it. The registered agent included list compares these plans.24, 25
EIN in the plan
The EIN is the federal tax number, and the IRS never charges a fee for an EIN. LegalZoom lists EIN (federal tax ID) in Managed Service, ZenBusiness lists EIN in Premium, and doola lists Employer Identification Number (EIN) in Starter. See the EIN included list.3, 16, 23, 26
Founders outside the U.S.
Tailor Brands is the highest-rated provider whose pages address founders outside the U.S.: it has a separate sign-up flow for non-US citizens linked from its formation page, without published eligibility details. doola states it accepts non-U.S. founders, and Starter includes a Virtual Mailing/Business Address. LegalZoom lists help getting an EIN without a Social Security number as included in Pro and Premium, plan names that differ from the ones on its current pricing page. The non-U.S. founders list covers the rest.23, 27, 28
What does Indiana charge no matter who files?
Indiana charges $75 to file the Articles of Organization online, and the same fee applies whether you file or a service does. The totals on this page add it to each plan's price.1
- Formation filing fee: $75 online, $100 by paper filing
- Recurring report: due every two years, in the anniversary month of the LLC's formation, $20 online, $50 by paper filing
- Optional name reservation: $10 (electronic application)
The online price is the one to watch. Indiana lists $100 for paper Articles and $50 for a paper report, against $75 and $20 through INBiz. Ask a service which method it uses, because a paper filing raises the state's share of your bill.1, 2, 29
Name reservation is the only optional state fee in our Indiana record, at $10 electronically. Our Indiana record has no state rush tier, so we can't say what a service's expedited label changes on the state's side.2
A lapse adds its own fees. An administratively dissolved LLC pays $20 online or $30 on paper to reinstate, and the paper route also needs a Business Entity Report with its fee. The state fees table compares these figures with Illinois and other states.2
Whose details go on the Indiana record?
Each Business Entity Report (State Form 48725) asks for the LLC's name, its agent, and the street address of the entity's principal office. A paid agent puts its own address in the agent field. Northwest Registered Agent, for one, says Northwest's address is listed on public filings instead of the owner's.30, 31, 32
The principal office address is a separate line on the report. Some providers sell an address product apart from the agent. Tailor Brands lists a Virtual Address product with the line "Keep your home address off public records," without a published price, and Northwest Registered Agent lists Mail Forwarding $20/month (24 select states). doola Starter includes a Virtual Mailing/Business Address in the plan.23, 33, 34
Trial items are the other thing to read closely. Tailor Brands Elite includes a bookkeeping trial that then bills $39/month, and LegalZoom lists that its Business Advisor Plan auto-renews at $49/mo after 30 days. LegalZoom's pricing page and the package contents guide show which items last and which expire.3, 35
Is filing an Indiana LLC yourself enough?
Indiana accepts the filing directly from owners, so a service is optional. You file the Articles of Organization (State Form 49459) on INBiz, pay $75, and name an agent, which can be you if you have an Indiana street address.1, 29, 30
The work that remains is the report. You track the anniversary month yourself and file every other year. The Indiana formation guide walks through each filing, and the cost calculator shows what a plan adds to the state fees.
Indiana LLC service questions
Does any service include the Indiana filing fee in its price?
Not in our totals. Most providers we compare list plan prices plus state fees, and the totals on this page add the $75 online fee to every plan, which is why Inc Authority's $75 first year is the state fee alone.1
Will LegalZoom file my Indiana report automatically?
Not through its automatic filing subscription. LegalZoom's footnote limits that service to required states, excluding Indiana, Maryland, and Wyoming. It also lists a one-time report filing at $99 + state filing fees, which you would order again for each report.9, 36
How often will a service need to file my Indiana report?
Every other year. The Business Entity Report is due in the anniversary month of the LLC's formation and costs $20 online. Plans that bill yearly for report filing charge in years when no report is due, so compare that with a per-filing price.2, 37
Which service costs least for an Indiana LLC through its second year?
Inc Authority Free LLC totals $75 and then $20, both state fees only. Its agent renews at $249/year after the free year unless cancelled. Northwest Registered Agent follows at $114, with its agent renewing at $125/yr.11, 13
Can a service get my Indiana LLC approved faster?
It can shorten its own preparation, and Tailor Brands and ZenBusiness state 1 business day. Our record has no published Indiana rush option or standard review time. Ask the service what its rush label covers before paying for it.
Do I need a service to act as my Indiana registered agent?
No. Indiana lets an individual serve, including an owner, as long as the record shows an Indiana street address. A service puts its own address in the agent field, and plans differ on how long they include one.
