Best LLC services in Utah (2026)
Facts checked October 13 to 15, 2026.
Tailor Brands ranks first on our rating for a Utah LLC (8.7), and its Elite plan reaches $308 for the first year after adding the $59 state fee. The cheapest first year belongs to Inc Authority at $59, exactly the filing fee, though the agent it includes later renews at $249/year. Every Utah LLC then owes the $18 Annual Report/Renewal each year, whoever formed it.1, 2, 3, 4
How is this list of Utah LLC services ordered?
Our rating sets the order, highest score first. Providers with equal scores follow our editorial tie order, which puts Tailor Brands, Bizee (formerly Incfile) and ZenBusiness ahead and then sorts the rest by name.
That rule settles the tied pairs here. Bizee (formerly Incfile) and ZenBusiness share 8.0, and BizFilings and Rocket Lawyer share 6.8. None of the parts behind the score (customer satisfaction, services and dashboard, plan value) uses state data, so how we rate applies the same way in Utah as anywhere.
Both money columns are Utah figures. Year one is the compared plan plus the $59 filing fee. Year two is the plan's renewal, where it has one, plus the $18 renewal the Division charges every LLC.1, 3

Second year: the recurring Utah report fee as the state lists it (some states charge it every two years) plus the plan's renewal, if it renews. Registered agent renewals are extra unless the plan includes the agent for good.
Read the second-year column with the billing type in mind. A plan with a one-time fee, like Bizee (formerly Incfile) Premium, shows only the state's $18 there. LegalZoom lists a one-time formation fee for Managed Service, so its column shows the same, though an advisor plan bills after its trial (see below). A plan billed every year repeats its price, which is why Tailor Brands Elite reaches $267 and ZenBusiness Premium reaches $317 in year two.3
Neither column counts trial items that start billing later or an agent that bills after a free period. Before state fees, the plan alone over both years comes to $498 for Tailor Brands and $598 for ZenBusiness. doola's second-year figure repeats its current price, but doola says its plans renew at rates then in effect and publishes no renewal price, so its year-two total is an estimate. The list of providers ordered by cost across both years uses that basis for every provider.5
Which Utah service suits which kind of founder?
Each pick in the box answers one founder need and names the published fact behind it. Utah's rules affect how a few of them read, mostly speed, the yearly renewal and agents that stop being free.
- Lowest first-year total in Utah: Inc Authority, Free LLC, $59 with the state fee.
- Lowest two-year total in Utah: Inc Authority, Free LLC, $77 over two years with state fees. Full list
- Fastest filing: Tailor Brands, 1 business day stated on Elite. Full list
- Best for first-time founders: Tailor Brands, all three supports included in a plan (annual report filing, coaching, AI guidance). Full list
- Best all-in-one platform: Tailor Brands, sells 9 of the 10 business service types we track, with an online dashboard. Full list
- Best for non-U.S. founders: Tailor Brands, highest-rated provider whose own pages say it serves founders outside the U.S. Full list
Each line is decided by the published fact it names. First-time founder support counts an annual report filed for you, business coaching and AI guidance; the all-in-one count is the business service types a provider sells nationally.
Lowest cost in the first and second year
Inc Authority Free LLC comes to $59 in year one and $18 in year two in Utah, the state's charges with nothing added. The figure that changes the picture is its agent, which is free at first and then renews at $249/year. Inc Authority offers a 60-day money-back guarantee on the first online purchase, less fees paid to the state.2, 6
Northwest Registered Agent has the next lowest first-year total, $98, and its included agent renews at $125/yr after year 1. The cheapest services list and the Inc Authority profile give the detail.7
Fastest stated filing
Tailor Brands and ZenBusiness both state 1 business day on their compared plans, and Inc Authority states 24 hours. In Utah the Division says most filings are processed immediately, so on a clean online filing the provider's own turnaround can be most of the wait. A filing sent to manual review takes 5 to 7 business days at the state no matter who submitted it. The fastest services list ranks stated speeds nationally.8
First-time founders
Our first-time founder count covers an annual report filed for you, coaching from a person and AI guidance. Tailor Brands includes all three supports, with mandatory report filing on its higher plans, a business trainer giving one-on-one guidance, and Navi built into every plan. ZenBusiness includes all three supports, with filing of state-required annual reports on Pro and Premium, Velo AI guidance in all plans, and a one-on-one consultation, Premium only. doola includes two of the three supports, its AI Co-Founder and Annual State Report Filing on its higher plans; Starter does not include ongoing compliance filings. None of these plan facts names Utah's renewal, so ask a provider whether its filing covers it. See the first-time founders list.9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16
All-in-one platforms
Out of 10 business service types we track, Tailor Brands sells 9 and LegalZoom sells 9, while Bizee (formerly Incfile) sells 7 and ZenBusiness sells 7. The count covers what each sells, whether in a plan or as an add-on. The all-in-one platforms list has the full count.
Registered agent included, and when it stops
Going 60 consecutive calendar days without a registered agent is grounds for administrative dissolution in Utah, so the date a free agent period ends is worth knowing before you buy. The list follows our rating.17
- Bizee (formerly Incfile): free for the first year with any Bizee formation package, then $149/year18, 19
- doola: Registered Agent Service listed in Starter, a yearly plan15
- Inc Authority: free for the first year with LLC formation, then $249/year2, 20
- Northwest Registered Agent: agent included with formation; it renews at $125/yr after year 17
- BizFilings: 3 months free with formation, then $220/yr21, 22
Tailor Brands sells its agent on its own at $199/year, and ZenBusiness offers 50% off the first year ($99) with formation. The registered agent included list compares the rest.23, 24
Founders outside the U.S.
Tailor Brands links a separate sign-up flow for non-US citizens from its formation page but publishes no eligibility details. doola states it accepts non-U.S. founders and its Starter plan includes a US business address. For an EIN without a Social Security number, LegalZoom says on its page for founders abroad that it will deliver your EIN, without the need for a Social Security Number, and Northwest Registered Agent charges $200. The non-U.S. founders list covers every provider.25, 26, 27, 28
What does Utah charge no matter who files?
Utah charges $59 to file, $18 for each yearly renewal, and optional fees for expedited handling and name reservation. The totals above add the filing fee and renewal to each plan; expedite and reservation fees are not in them.1, 3
- Formation filing fee: $59
- Faster state processing: $75 per filing
- Recurring report: due One year from the date of registration, then every year after that, $18
- Optional name reservation: $22
The Division's expedite fee is $75 per filing, but it doesn't publish how fast an expedited filing is handled, and most filings already clear at once. Bizee (formerly Incfile) lists Expedited Filing in its compared plan, and our facts don't show whether that pays the state's fee. Ask any service which one it means.3, 29
Two smaller state charges come up after formation. A renewal filed late adds a $10 late renewal fee, and changing your agent later costs $17.3
Who files the Utah renewal, and what bills after a trial?
Utah's renewal comes due one year from the date of registration and yearly after that, so each LLC has its own date. Several services sell annual report filing, at different prices.30
Tailor Brands Elite and ZenBusiness Premium both list annual report filing in the plan price. Northwest Registered Agent charges $100 + state fees per filing, and LegalZoom sells a compliance filing subscription that starts at $199/year. A plan that only sends reminders leaves the filing to you.31, 32
The renewal must list at least one manager, member or other governing person. An agent service fills the agent field, but a manager's or member's name still appears on the renewal.1
Trial items are the other cost to check. Tailor Brands Elite includes a bookkeeping trial that then bills $39/month, and for Managed Service, LegalZoom lists that its Business Advisor Plan auto-renews at $49/mo after 30 days. The LegalZoom pricing page and the Tailor Brands pricing page list what follows each trial.33, 34
Is filing a Utah LLC yourself enough?
It can be: Utah's filing is online with a UtahID login, and the $59 state fee is the only fee the Division charges to form the LLC. A service adds preparation, sometimes an agent or EIN, and its own price.1, 4
Filing yourself means choosing the agent too. Utah's statute recognizes a noncommercial registered agent, listed by name and address at a street address in this state, and tracking the yearly renewal date falls to you. The Utah formation guide covers each filing, and the guide to filing yourself or hiring a service sets out the trade-offs.17
Utah LLC service questions
Is the Utah filing fee included in a service's price?
The totals on this page add the $59 Utah filing fee to each compared plan's price. Inc Authority's plan is $0 plus state fees, which is why its first-year total of $59 equals the state fee. Ask any service whether its price includes the state fee before paying.1, 20
Will a formation service file my Utah annual renewal?
Some plans include annual report filing: Tailor Brands Elite and ZenBusiness Premium list it, and Northwest Registered Agent sells it at $100 + state fees. For doola, Starter does not include ongoing compliance filings. These facts don't name Utah's renewal, so confirm a provider covers it.16, 31
Can a service make Utah approve my LLC faster?
A service controls only its own preparation time. The Division says most filings are processed immediately, and the state's expedite costs $75 per filing with no published turnaround. Ask a service whether its rush option pays that fee.3, 8
What does a Utah LLC cost in year two with a service?
The $18 renewal, plus any plan renewal and any agent that starts billing. With yearly plans the second-year total is $267 for Tailor Brands Elite and $317 for ZenBusiness Premium. doola Starter also bills yearly but publishes no renewal price.3
Which service has the lowest first-year cost in Utah?
Inc Authority at $59, the state fee alone, with its agent renewing at $249/year after the first year. Northwest Registered Agent follows at $98.2
Is a name reservation needed before choosing a service?
No. Reserving a Utah name costs $22 and is optional, though it holds the name while you compare services. The state fees table compares the fee with other states.3
