Best LLC services in New Jersey (2026)
Facts checked October 13 to 15, 2026.
Tailor Brands holds the highest score in our New Jersey list, a rating of 8.7. With the $100 state fee, its Elite plan costs $349 for year one and $324 for year two. For the smallest bill, Inc Authority comes to $100 and then $75, though its agent renews at $249/year after the free year. Whichever service you pick, New Jersey bills $75 for the Annual Report every year.1, 2
How are LLC services for New Jersey ranked?
Providers appear in order of our rating. Where two share a score, the tie goes to editorial order: Tailor Brands, Bizee (formerly Incfile), ZenBusiness, then alphabetical.
The totals are New Jersey figures. Year one is the $100 Certificate of Formation fee plus the plan we compare. Year two is the $75 Annual Report fee plus the plan's renewal, if the plan renews.1

Second year: the recurring New Jersey report fee as the state lists it (some states charge it every two years) plus the plan's renewal, if it renews. Registered agent renewals are extra unless the plan includes the agent for good.
Two ties show in the table: Bizee (formerly Incfile) and ZenBusiness share 8.0, and BizFilings and Rocket Lawyer share 6.8. The score's three parts (customer satisfaction, services and dashboard, plan value) are national, so a New Jersey filer sees the same order as anyone else. How we rate gives the weights.
Because New Jersey charges a flat report fee, every second-year cell has a figure, and most equal that fee alone since those plans charge once. Yearly plans add their renewal: Tailor Brands reaches $324, ZenBusiness $374 and Rocket Lawyer $224. The doola cell is only an estimate. It repeats today's Starter price, though doola's terms say it renews at rates then in effect, with the renewal price not stated. Before any state fees, Tailor Brands Elite comes to $498 over its first and second years combined and ZenBusiness Premium to $598. The list ranked by combined plan cost orders every provider that way.3
Which New Jersey LLC service fits which need?
The picks below each rest on one published fact. Read them against what you want covered after formation, since in New Jersey the yearly report is the cost that keeps coming.
- Lowest first-year total in New Jersey: Inc Authority, Free LLC, $100 with the state fee.
- Lowest two-year total in New Jersey: Inc Authority, Free LLC, $175 over two years with state fees. Full list
- Fastest filing: Tailor Brands, 1 business day stated on Elite. Full list
- Best for first-time founders: Tailor Brands, all three supports included in a plan (annual report filing, coaching, AI guidance). Full list
- Best all-in-one platform: Tailor Brands, sells 9 of the 10 business service types we track, with an online dashboard. Full list
- Best for non-U.S. founders: Tailor Brands, highest-rated provider whose own pages say it serves founders outside the U.S. Full list
Each line is decided by the published fact it names. First-time founder support counts an annual report filed for you, business coaching and AI guidance; the all-in-one count is the business service types a provider sells nationally.
Lowest total in New Jersey
Inc Authority Free LLC comes to $100 in year one, which is the state fee and nothing more, and $75 in year two. The second figure leaves out its agent, which renews at $249/year. Its refund terms are a 60-day money-back guarantee on initial online purchase, less state/third-party filing fees.2, 4
Northwest Registered Agent sits next at $139, then $75. Its included agent renews at $125/yr, and Northwest enrolls agent customers in its annual report service, billed at $100 + state fees each time it files. In New Jersey that adds to the $75 report fee. The cheapest services list shows the national order by plan price.1, 5, 6
First-time founders who want the Annual Report filed for them
For a first-time founder we look at whether a plan files the yearly report, offers coaching from a person and gives AI guidance. New Jersey's recurring filing is the Annual Report, so the first of those three is the one that bears on the yearly $75 bill.1
Tailor Brands includes all three supports: mandatory report filing on Essential and Elite, its business coaching program, and Navi, an AI assistant built into every plan. ZenBusiness includes all three supports: filing of state-required annual reports on Pro and Premium, Personal Velo AI guidance, and an advisor consultation (Premium only). doola includes two of the three supports, with Annual State Report Filing on its higher plans and its AI Co-Founder assistant. Starter does not include ongoing compliance filings, and Starter is the doola plan in our table. Every other provider's count is on the first-time founders list.7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12
Fastest stated filing
The quickest preparation time any provider states is 1 business day, shared by Tailor Brands and ZenBusiness on their compared plans; Inc Authority lists 24 hours. These are the providers' own stated times. We have no official New Jersey review time on record, so no service's figure tells you when the state will approve the filing. See the fastest services list.
Agent included, and until when
New Jersey requires an agent under N.J.S.A. 42:2C-14, and the ranked table's agent column shows which plans bundle one. Several of those bundles end after a year. Bizee (formerly Incfile) renews its agent at $149/year after the included year, Northwest Registered Agent at $125/yr, and Inc Authority at $249/year. doola lists Registered Agent Service in Starter, which bills yearly. The agent included list orders every plan that bundles one.2, 5, 13, 14, 15
One provider for later services
Of the 10 business service types we track, Tailor Brands sells 9 and ZenBusiness sells 7. Selling a service and including it in a plan are different things, so check the plan items before counting on one. See the all-in-one list.
Founders outside the U.S.
doola and LegalZoom both state they accept non-U.S. founders. LegalZoom's page for founders abroad says it files for the EIN without the need for a Social Security Number, and doola's Starter includes a US business address. Tailor Brands links a separate sign-up flow for non-US citizens but doesn't publish eligibility terms. The non-U.S. founders list has the rest.16, 17, 18
What does New Jersey charge no matter who files?
New Jersey charges the same $100 formation fee and $75 yearly report fee whether you file alone or through a service. The totals on this page add both to each plan's price rather than counting them as part of it.1
- Formation filing fee: $100
- Recurring report: due each year by the last day of the month in which the LLC was originally filed, $75
- Optional name reservation: $50 (renewal $50)
Two more state charges can come up after formation. Switching agent services means a $25 change filing with the Division, and an LLC that falls behind pays $75 to reinstate, plus all delinquent annual reports.1, 19
Who files the New Jersey report, and what does it cost on top?
The provider pages we cite describe annual report filing in general terms, not New Jersey's report by name, and their prices and terms differ. New Jersey's report is due by the last day of the month in which the LLC was originally filed.20
Several providers sell the filing separately rather than in a plan. InCorp Services lists $89 + state fees. Rocket Lawyer lists $100 with Pro membership, excluding state fees. Harbor Compliance lists $199 per state per year plus filing fees.21, 22, 23
Trial items can change the second-year column too. Every Swyft Filings LLC plan includes a 14-day trial of ComplianceGuard, then $199/year auto-charged unless cancelled. That charge isn't in the totals above. On Tailor Brands Elite, the bookkeeping trial turns into a $39/month charge, and for Managed Service, LegalZoom lists that the Business Advisor Plan auto-renews at $49/mo after 30 days. The LegalZoom pricing page and the Swyft Filings profile show what each tier bills after its trial.24, 25, 26
The report also lists names and addresses of business partners (members). An agent service changes only the agent field, so owners' names and addresses stay on the report whichever provider files it.27
Is filing a New Jersey LLC yourself enough?
It can be. Owners may send the Certificate of Formation straight to the New Jersey Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services with the $100 fee and no service charge, and the yearly report is a single filing at $75.1, 28
Without a service, a couple of jobs stay with you. You name an agent who meets N.J.S.A. 42:2C-14, and a New Jersey resident owner qualifies. You also file the report every year, by the end of the month in which the LLC was formed. Our step-by-step New Jersey guide covers both, and the calculator prices any plan against doing it alone.13
New Jersey LLC service questions
Does any LLC service include the New Jersey filing fee?
Not in the prices we compare. The first-year totals here add the $100 state fee to each plan, which is why Inc Authority's total of $100 equals the fee.1
Which service costs least for a New Jersey LLC across the first and second years?
Inc Authority has the lowest columns, $100 then $75. Its agent renews at $249/year after the first year unless you cancel, and that renewal isn't in the table. Northwest Registered Agent follows at $139, with its agent renewing at $125/yr.2, 5
Will a service file my New Jersey annual report?
Some plans include annual report filing in general terms: Tailor Brands on Essential and Elite and ZenBusiness on Pro and Premium. Others sell it separately, such as InCorp Services at $89 + state fees. The $75 state fee is still owed either way.1, 21
What does a New Jersey LLC cost in year two with a service?
The $75 report fee plus any plan renewal. With Tailor Brands Elite that comes to $324, and with ZenBusiness Premium to $374. Agent renewals and trial items that bill later are extra.1
Can I reserve a New Jersey LLC name before choosing a service?
Yes. A reservation costs $50 (renewal $50) and is separate from any plan. The state fees table compares it with other states.1
Do I need a service to act as my New Jersey agent?
No. Under N.J.S.A. 42:2C-14 a New Jersey resident, or a person or business authorized to do business in the state, can serve. A service puts its own details in the agent field instead of yours.13
