Best LLC services in Missouri (2026)

Facts checked October 13 to 15, 2026.

Tailor Brands ranks first on our rating for a Missouri LLC at 8.7 out of ten, and its Elite plan totals $299 in year one with the $50 online filing fee. Inc Authority has the lowest first-year total, $50, which is the state fee alone. Missouri LLCs file no annual report, so year two costs only what a plan or a registered agent renews at. For one-time plans, that means the registered agent renewal.1

How are Missouri LLC services ranked?

Our rating sets the order, highest first. Where two providers tie, Tailor Brands, Bizee and ZenBusiness come first in that order and the rest follow by name.

Each first-year figure is the plan we compare plus the Missouri fee for filing the articles online. Paper filing costs $105, so a service that files that way raises the total. The second-year figure is the plan's own renewal plus the state's recurring report fee, which in Missouri is $0.1, 2

Ordered by our rating, highest first; ties in our editorial order. Totals add the Missouri state fees to each provider's compared plan.

Second year: the recurring Missouri report fee as the state lists it (some states charge it every two years) plus the plan's renewal, if it renews. Registered agent renewals are extra unless the plan includes the agent for good.

The rating has three parts (customer satisfaction, services and dashboard, and plan value), and none of them changes from one state to the next. Two pairs share a score: Bizee (formerly Incfile) and ZenBusiness at 8.0, and BizFilings and Rocket Lawyer at 6.8. The rating method shows how the parts are weighted.

Because nothing is owed to the state in year two, the second column shows only which plans bill again. Tailor Brands Elite renews to $249, ZenBusiness Premium to $299, doola Starter to $297 and Rocket Lawyer Standard membership to $149. One-time plans show $0. Neither column counts a registered agent renewal or a trial that starts billing, and the sections below cover both.

Which Missouri LLC service fits which need?

The picks below each name the fact behind them. Read them against what a Missouri LLC actually owes later: a registered agent every year and no report.

Each line is decided by the published fact it names. First-time founder support counts an annual report filed for you, business coaching and AI guidance; the all-in-one count is the business service types a provider sells nationally.

Lowest cost once the agent is counted

A Missouri LLC must keep a registered agent for as long as it exists, so for an owner who doesn't serve as agent, the agent's renewal is part of every later year's bill.

Inc Authority Free LLC is $50 in year one and $0 in year two on the table. Its agent is free for the first year and then renews automatically at $249/year unless cancelled. Its terms list a 60-day money-back guarantee on initial online purchase, less state/third-party filing fees; they allow cancelling at any time by phone or email.3, 4

Northwest Registered Agent costs more up front at $89, but its included agent renews at $125/yr, the lowest agent renewal among the plans that include one. Its terms state no cancellation fee. By year two, that lower renewal more than covers the first-year difference. The Inc Authority profile, the Northwest profile and the ranking by cost across both years show the full terms.5, 6

Annual report filing in a state with no report

Several plans include or trial an annual report service, and Missouri gives it nothing to file with the Secretary of State.

For a Missouri owner, that makes yearly plan renewals worth questioning before they bill. The annual report guide explains what these services do.

First-time founders

We count three supports for a first company: a report filed for you, coaching from a person, and AI guidance. Tailor Brands includes all three supports, with its Business Coaching Program on any plan and Navi; its homepage says "Every plan comes with Navi built in". ZenBusiness includes all three supports: Personal Velo AI guidance on every tier and a one-on-one consultation on Premium. doola includes two of the three supports, one of them its AI Co-Founder assistant. In Missouri the report-filing support has no state report to act on, so coaching and guidance carry the weight. See the first-time founders list.11, 12, 13, 14

Fastest stated filing

Tailor Brands and ZenBusiness state 1 business day on their compared plans, Inc Authority states 24 hours, and doola states 1 to 2 business days. Bizee (formerly Incfile) lists Expedited Filing on Premium. These times cover the provider's own work only. Our record has no published Missouri review time or paid rush option, so the state's part of the wait is unknown. The fastest filing list and the LLC timeline guide explain the difference.15

Agent included, and for how long

Missouri lets an individual resident of Missouri or a domestic or foreign corporation authorized to do business in Missouri serve (Mo. Rev. Stat. § 347.030). These plans cover the agent for a period.16

Tailor Brands sells its agent at $199/year, and ZenBusiness offers 50% off the first year ($99) with formation. The agent included list compares them.21, 22

One provider for later services

Of the 10 business service types we track, Tailor Brands sells 9, LegalZoom 9, Bizee (formerly Incfile) 7 and ZenBusiness 7. Most are paid extras. The all-in-one list orders every provider by this count.

Founders outside the U.S.

doola says it can help a non-resident without a US SSN, and Starter includes a US business address. Tailor Brands links a separate sign-up flow for non-US citizens but publishes no eligibility details. Northwest Registered Agent charges $200 for an EIN without a Social Security number. An owner living abroad isn't a Missouri resident and so can't be the agent under Mo. Rev. Stat. § 347.030, so a resident or an authorized company has to fill that role. See the non-U.S. founders list.16, 23, 24, 25, 26

What does Missouri charge no matter who files?

Missouri charges $50 to file the articles online and $105 on paper, and that fee is the same with or without a service. The totals on this page add it to every plan's price.1

The paper premium is a state cost a service can make worse. The Secretary of State puts the online saving at $55.00, and the totals on this page assume the online fee. Ask a service which way it files.1

After formation, with no annual report, the agent is the ongoing requirement in our Missouri record. Failing to maintain a registered agent is grounds for administrative cancellation of the LLC, and reinstatement starts at $100 plus delinquent fees. Changing agents costs $10. A name hold, at $25, is optional.1, 27, 28

What do trial items add to a Missouri bill?

Trial items add a monthly charge once the trial ends unless you cancel, and that charge sits outside both columns of the table. Tailor Brands Elite includes a bookkeeping trial that then costs $39/month.29

LegalZoom lists Managed Service with a note that its Business Advisor Plan auto-renews at $49/mo after 30 days. On the other side, doola says Starter does not include ongoing compliance filings, an item a Missouri LLC, with no annual report to file, has less use for. The LegalZoom pricing page and Tailor Brands pricing page list each item.30, 31

Can you form a Missouri LLC without a service?

Yes. Missouri takes the Articles of Organization (LLC 1) straight from owners, online for $50, and with no report to track later, filing alone is simpler here than in a state with a yearly report.1, 32

What you take on is the agent. You can serve if you are a Missouri resident whose business office is the registered office (Mo. Rev. Stat. § 347.030), which makes that address the registered office on file. The Missouri formation guide covers each filing, and the cost calculator compares a plan with filing alone.16

Missouri LLC service questions

Is the Missouri filing fee part of a service's price?

The totals on this page add the state fee, $50 online, to each plan's price. Inc Authority lists its plan at $0 plus state fees, so its $50 is the fee and nothing else.1, 33

Do I need an annual report service for a Missouri LLC?

No. Missouri LLCs file no annual report with the Secretary of State, so the report fee is $0. A plan item for report filing has nothing to file there, though amendment or update filings it covers may still apply. Ask the provider before renewing for it.2

What does a Missouri LLC cost in year two with a service?

The state charges $0, so year two is the plan's renewal plus any agent renewal. On the table, Tailor Brands Elite renews at $249, and one-time plans show $0 before their agent bills, such as $249/year for Inc Authority.2, 3

Which service has the cheapest registered agent renewal for Missouri?

Among plans that include an agent, Northwest Registered Agent renews at $125/yr, followed by Bizee (formerly Incfile) at $149/year. Inc Authority renews at $249/year.3, 5, 17

Can a service file my Missouri LLC on paper?

It can, but paper costs $105 against $50 online. Our totals assume online filing. Ask who pays the difference if a service files on paper.1

Which LLC service ranks first in Missouri?

Tailor Brands, at 8.7 out of ten on our rating, with Elite at $299 in year one. The rating doesn't vary by state; the totals do.
