Best LLC services in Louisiana (2026)

Facts checked October 13 to 15, 2026.

Tailor Brands ranks first on our rating for a Louisiana LLC at 8.7 out of ten, and its Elite plan totals $374 in the first year with the $125 state fee that applies from October 1, 2026. Inc Authority has the lowest first-year total, $125, which is the filing fee alone, but its included agent renews at $249/year after year one. Because Louisiana's yearly report costs a flat $35, every provider here has a second-year total too.1, 2

How are LLC services for Louisiana ranked?

The table is in order of our rating, highest first. When two providers share a rating, our editorial order breaks the tie, so Bizee (formerly Incfile) sits above ZenBusiness at 8.0 and BizFilings above Rocket Lawyer at 6.8.

The rating has three parts (customer satisfaction, services and dashboard, plan value), and none of them changes from state to state. What changes is the money. Each first-year figure adds Louisiana's new filing fee to the plan we compare, and each second-year figure adds the $35 annual report fee to whatever the plan bills again. How we rate sets out the weights.1

Ordered by our rating, highest first; ties in our editorial order. Totals add the Louisiana state fees to each provider's compared plan.

Second year: the recurring Louisiana report fee as the state lists it (some states charge it every two years) plus the plan's renewal, if it renews. Registered agent renewals are extra unless the plan includes the agent for good.

Read the second-year column with the renewal terms in mind. Most rows show only the report fee because the plan price is a one-time charge, though LegalZoom's compared plan starts a trial that bills later (see the notes below). Some rows are higher because the plan bills again: Tailor Brands Elite renews at $249/yr, ZenBusiness Premium at $299/yr, Rocket Lawyer at $149/yr, and doola's Starter plan renews annually at rates then in effect, so its second-year figure assumes today's price holds.3, 4, 5, 6

The column leaves out registered agent renewals, and in Louisiana that gap is larger than the state's own yearly charge. Inc Authority's agent renews at $249/year and Northwest Registered Agent's at $125/yr, both more than the report fee. Looking at plan cost alone over both years, before state fees, Tailor Brands comes to $498, ZenBusiness to $598 and doola to $594. The list ordered by cost across both years applies the same arithmetic nationally.2, 7

Which Louisiana LLC service fits which need?

Each pick in the panel below follows the published rule for its category, and the notes after it add what Louisiana's rules change about that pick.

Each line is decided by the published fact it names. First-time founder support counts an annual report filed for you, business coaching and AI guidance; the all-in-one count is the business service types a provider sells nationally.

Lowest cost in the first and second year

Inc Authority Free LLC totals $125 in year one, the lowest first-year figure in Louisiana, and $35 in year two. That second figure is the report fee alone, the same as every plan that doesn't bill again. Its agent, free with formation for the first year, then renews automatically at $249/year, and its refund terms offer a 60-day money-back guarantee on initial online purchase, less state fees. Inc Authority's pricing page lists what it sells on top.2, 8

Northwest Registered Agent is next at $164 in the first year. Its agent renews at $125/yr, a lower renewal than Inc Authority's. Its agent customers are also enrolled automatically in its annual report service, which costs $100 + state fees, charged at filing. An owner who plans to keep a paid agent should add both to the second year before comparing the two; the Northwest profile has the rest of its terms.7, 9

Fastest stated filing

Tailor Brands and ZenBusiness both state 1 business day on their compared plans, and Inc Authority states 24 hours. Those are the providers' own preparation times. The Louisiana Secretary of State reviews the filing afterwards, and the state sells its own speed at $35 for 24-hour service or $60 for while-you-wait service. Bizee (formerly Incfile) lists Expedited Filing in its compared plan, and our record of that item doesn't say whether it covers either state fee. The fastest filing list orders every provider by stated time.1, 10

First-time founders

We count three supports for a first-time founder: the annual report filed for you, coaching from a person, and AI guidance. Tailor Brands includes all three supports, with report filing on its upper plans (mandatory report filing), its Business Coaching Program and Navi, an assistant built into every plan. ZenBusiness also includes all three supports: filing of state-required annual reports, Personal Velo AI guidance, and an advisor consultation on Premium only. doola has two of the three supports, with its AI Co-Founder assistant on every plan; Starter does not include ongoing compliance filings.3, 4, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15

In Louisiana the report that gets filed is due on or before the anniversary date of organization, so its date differs for each LLC. A missed report carries no late fee, but an LLC's articles are revoked after three consecutive years without an annual report. The first-time founders list shows how each provider covers the three supports.16, 17

All-in-one platform

Of the 10 business service types we track, Tailor Brands sells 9 and ZenBusiness sells 7. The count includes add-ons and trials, so a high count says what you could buy later, not what the plan includes. The all-in-one list orders every provider by this count.

Founders outside the U.S.

Tailor Brands is the highest-rated provider whose pages mention non-U.S. founders, through a separate sign-up flow for non-US citizens that publishes no eligibility details. doola says it serves non-residents, and LegalZoom lists a non-U.S. route as well. A person serving as a Louisiana agent has to be a citizen of the state who lives there (La. R.S. 12:1308), so a founder living abroad can't serve as their own agent. See the non-U.S. founders list.18, 19

What does Louisiana charge no matter who files?

Louisiana charges the same $125 filing fee whether you file the articles yourself or a service files them, and the totals on this page add it to every plan price. Expedite and name reservation are extra.1

The fees in that table rose from October 1, 2026, except the $25 name reservation. Plan pages written earlier may still show the old Louisiana amounts, so the totals on this page use the current ones.1, 20

Louisiana's two expedite tiers are charged by the state on every filing that uses them, $35 for 24-hour service or $60 for while-you-wait service. Ask any service with a rush option whether its price includes that state fee or only speeds up its own work.1

One state cost has gone away. The franchise tax has been repealed for franchise tax periods beginning on or after January 1, 2026. The yearly state charge is now the report fee. doola's plans that file reports leave the state fee to the owner (state fees paid by customer), and the other plans that file reports don't say either way in our records.15, 21

What does Louisiana's paperwork change about choosing a service?

Two Louisiana rules affect which service fits: the agent signs a notarized acceptance, and the yearly report lists the people running the LLC with the state.

The Initial Report goes in with the articles, giving the registered office, each registered agent (with notarized acceptance) and the first managers or members if already chosen. Whoever acts as your agent has to sign that acceptance before you file. Plans that include an agent supply one, so ask how the service handles the notarized acceptance and whether it adds time. These compared plans include an agent for a limited time, and each renewal starts when that period ends.22

doola lists Registered Agent Service in its yearly plan, and Tailor Brands sells an agent separately at $199/year.26, 27

Switching agents later costs $30 and needs a notarized affidavit of acknowledgment and acceptance signed by the new registered agent, so a cheap first year followed by a switch has its own cost. The registered agent included list compares those terms.1, 19

The annual report lists each manager (or member if member-managed). An agent's address replaces yours only in the agent field; it doesn't hide those names.16

Trial items bill later. Tailor Brands Elite includes bookkeeping on a free 30-day trial, after which it bills. LegalZoom lists that its Business Advisor Plan auto-renews at $49/mo after 30 days, and it sells Compliance Filings separately, a subscription that starts at $199/year and auto-renews. Every Swyft Filings LLC plan includes a 14-day trial of ComplianceGuard, then $199/year auto-charged unless cancelled. The LegalZoom pricing page and Swyft Filings pricing page list what bills after each trial.28, 29, 30, 31

Is filing a Louisiana LLC yourself enough?

Filing yourself in Louisiana costs the $125 state fee and covers the same state filing a service submits, as long as you can get your agent's notarized acceptance and track the report date.1

A service adds preparation, sometimes an agent, and its own price. The Louisiana formation guide goes through each filing, from the name search to the Initial Report. If you serve as your own agent, your street address appears on the filings. The cost calculator shows what a plan adds to each year, and the guide to filing yourself or using a service sets out the trade-offs.

Louisiana LLC service questions

Does any LLC service include the Louisiana filing fee?

Not as the plans are compared here. This page adds the $125 fee to every plan's price, including plans priced at nothing, which is why Inc Authority's first-year figure, $125, equals the fee.1

Which LLC service costs least over the first and second year in Louisiana?

Inc Authority has the lowest first-year total, $125, and its second year is $35, the report fee alone, which several one-time plans share. Its agent then renews at $249/year unless cancelled, which the second-year figure leaves out. Northwest Registered Agent has the next lowest first year, with an agent renewing at $125/yr.2, 7

Do the totals use Louisiana's new fees?

Yes. Every first-year total uses the $125 filing fee in effect from October 1, 2026, and every second-year total uses the $35 annual report fee. Older price quotes may still show the earlier amounts.1

Can a service get my Louisiana LLC approved faster?

A service can only speed up its own preparation. The state's review is faster only when someone pays $35 for 24-hour service or $60 for while-you-wait service. Ask whether a plan's rush option includes that state fee.1

Will a formation service file my Louisiana annual report?

Some plans include it. Tailor Brands Elite lists mandatory report filing, and ZenBusiness Premium lists filing of state-required annual reports. The report is due on or before the anniversary date of organization, with a $35 state fee.1, 3, 13, 16

Does a Louisiana LLC still owe franchise tax with any service?

Not for current periods. The franchise tax has been repealed for franchise tax periods beginning on or after January 1, 2026. A service plan doesn't change that, and other state taxes are a question for an accountant.21
